Joseph A. Cullen, Shareholder in Stark & Stark’s Accident & Personal Injury Group, was featured in an article written by Jennifer Connor of the Perkasie News Herald regarding his recent honor of being awarded with the Ted Lindeman Humanitarian Award on September 19, 2012 at the Doylestown Country Club. He was amongst four other recipients of the award, and was recognized for his work with the Bucks County Bar Association Charitable Foundation, KenCrest Services and numerous other nonprofit and community organizations.
The Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation provides financial assistance to young families who have lost a spouse, and the awards reception helped to raise money for the organization. Ellen Lindeman, who founded the organization after losing her husband, Ted, to esophageal cancer, hopes that the foundation will someday become a national organization so she can help more families who are experiencing the same situation she faced.
During Mr. Cullen’s acceptance speech, he shared a personal story about a good friend of his who died from brain cancer:
“As the breadwinner, he left behind three small children,” Cullen said. “I felt for his wife and am happy to see there is an organization out there helping people just like her.”
