Thank you to everyone who participated in our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service initiative on January 16th. Many of our employees performed acts of service around their communities, and below are two of their stories of service.
Shareholder Deborah Dunn and the members of her whole team engaged with their local community by donating items to two charities in Burlington County. They collected and donated linens and towels for the Burlington County Animal Shelter, and toys, clothes, and shoes for SisterHood, Inc.
SisterHood, Inc.’s core mission is to preserve and improve at-risk and underserved populations. They achieve this through the provisions of counseling, academic excellence, food, clothing outreach and more. They are currently in need of men’s clothing, non-perishable protein items such as peanut butter, cans of tuna, and cans of chicken. They are also seeking donations to raise money for new building windows. If you would like to learn more or make a donation to SisterHood, Inc., please click here.

In another act of service, our Human Resources Director participated in an MLK commemorative brunch and fundraiser for the NJ Orators of Willingboro, as well as a scholarship fundraiser for local Burlington High School students in partnership with the non-profit organization People Motivating Others, Inc. The theme for the fundraiser was, “Where Do We Go from Here, Chaos or Community?”
Stark & Stark’s DE&I Committee is comprised of employees from each of our offices, who meet regularly to monitor the progress of the firm’s inclusion and diversity efforts and the forging of a closer alliance with the various national, regional, and local diversity organizations.
