The law firm of Stark & Stark has announced that four Associates were elected Shareholders effective July 1, 2018. These new Shareholders are Ian Abovitz, David Schmid, Domenic Sanginiti, and Gene Markin.

Ian S. Abovitz is a member of Stark & Stark’s Accident & Personal Injury Group in the Yardley, Pennsylvania office. Mr. Abovitz concentrates his practice on complex injury, medical negligence and construction accident claims. He also handles other types of personal injury claims including motor vehicle accidents and slip and fall accidents.
David M. Schmid is a member of Stark & Stark’s Personal Injury Group. Mr. Schmid is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. He focuses his practice on cases involving serious and catastrophic injuries, with an emphasis on severe burn injuries, construction injuries, automobile negligence, and premises liability. Mr. Schmid takes on cases with the goal of bringing meaningful change to the people involved and changing behavior at a societal level. Often, these are cases that require substantial time and resources, which can be overwhelming to other attorneys and other law firms.
Domenic B. Sanginiti, Jr. is a member of the Accident & Personal Injury Group. Mr. Sanginiti concentrates on catastrophic personal injury matters, negligent security claims, wrongful death and product liability matters. Mr. Sanginiti also focuses his practice on the hazards and defects of lithium ion batteries, e-cigarettes and other vaping products.
Gene Markin is a Shareholder in Stark & Stark’s Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property Litigation Groups where he concentrates his practice on complex litigation matters involving copyright protection and infringement, trademark and trade dress infringement and enforcement, trade secret litigation, false advertising, domain name disputes, unfair competition, class actions, fraud and consumer fraud, shareholder and partner disputes, and breach of contract.
