A Camden County Superior Court jury recently awarded a husband and wife from Swedesboro $1.75 million in a personal injury lawsuit represented by Shareholder Deborah S. Dunn, from the Stark & Stark Marlton office.
The client was driving northbound on Interstate 295 on January 13, 2012 in the Bellmawr, NJ area when the accident happened. The defendant was attempting to move across to Exit 21, and in the process cut off Ms. Dunn’s client, only to lose control of the vehicle, striking the guardrail and ricocheting off and hitting the client’s car.
As a result of the accident, the client suffered lower back injuries which eventually required multiple spinal injections and daily medication. With representation from Ms. Dunn and Stark & Stark, the client was able to file a lawsuit against the driver of the vehicle that hit his car, and the trial started on October 4, 2016 in Camden County Superior Court. The jury awarded the $1.75 million verdict on October 6, 2016.
“The jury clearly understood the severity of the injuries that [my client] sustained in this accident,” Dunn said. “It is a fair and just verdict given his injuries and the impact they will continue to have on his daily life.”
