NonProfit Connect has welcomed Stark & Stark Associate Chinsu Shajan to their Board of Trustees. “In addition to training community members to serve on nonprofit boards, NonProfit Connect offers educational programs, courses, and resources for board members and Executive Directors to strengthen leadership skills, work together effectively, and enhance board governance to advance their programs and organizations.”
As a member of the Board of Trustees, Ms. Shajan will assist with long term planning, marketing, financial development planning, and annual budgeting for the organization. Her responsibilities also include promoting NonProfit Connect to foundations, corporations, government organizations, and individuals to broaden organizational reach and financial support.
“I’m very excited to be apart of this Board because I truly believe their mission is going to make a huge impact in the nonprofit community,” Chinsu expressed. NonProfit Connect’s flagship program BoardConnect, is a comprehensive training program for participants who are interested in joining a nonprofit board or who are already serving on a board and want to sharpen their skills. After completing the course, participants can attend a virtual or in-person “Meet & Greet” event to engage with multiple local nonprofits to find organizations that align with their interests. “I was eager to join the Board because NonProfit Connect gives individuals, no matter where you are in your life, whether you are young professional just starting your career or retired, the building blocks to become an effective and efficient board member.”
