Tommie Ann Gibney is an expert Civil Trial Attorney certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court. She is a Shareholder in Stark & Stark’s Accident and Personal Injury practice, where she represents persons who have been injured or killed as the result of motor vehicle collisions; slips, trips, and falls; nursing home abuse and neglect; defective products; construction site incidents; and other catastrophic acts of negligence.
Ms. Gibney is a Past President of the New Jersey Association for Justice (formerly ATLA-NJ) and received the Association’s highest award, the Gold Medal for Distinguished Service. She also received the NJAJ Meyer-Segal Award for exemplary leadership to the profession, the community, NJAJ, and the mission of the NJAJ Women Trial Lawyers’ Caucus. Tommie Ann presently serves on the NJAJ Board of Governors and is a long-time member of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and Women Trial Lawyers’ Caucus.
Ms. Gibney is admitted to practice before the State and Federal courts in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. Tommie Ann has been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney since 1997.
Ms. Gibney served on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointment Committee for six years and is appointed to the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Jury Selection. Ms. Gibney is active in the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Camden County Bar Association, where she served as Trustee for six years. She presently serves as an officer and Trustee of the Camden County Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Camden County Bar Association.
Ms. Gibney received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Seton Hall University, where she participated in the University Honors Program, an interdisciplinary humanities course of study. She received her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law, was a member of the Seton Hall Law Review, and served as Articles Editor.
Tommie Ann is a thought leader in her practice, frequently lecturing on issues of damages, tortious conduct, negligence, insurance coverage issues, and is an active member of her local community.
