Chinsu Shajan is an Associate and member of Stark & Stark’s Accident and Personal Injury Group. She concentrates her practice on serious personal injuries, motorcycle injuries, negligent security claims, wrongful death, and product liability matters. Chinsu appears frequently in federal, state, and appellate courts in New Jersey and New York. Chinsu also has extensive experience litigating many complex product liability cases throughout the country.
Chinsu is a Co-Chair of the New Jersey Association for Justice’s Women Trial Lawyer Caucus, sits on Board of Governors for the American Association of Justice as the representative for the New Lawyers Division, and is on the Executive Committee for the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association and is also actively involved with the Mercer County Bar Association, Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey, and the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey.
Prior to joining Stark & Stark, Chinsu served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas W. Sumners, Jr., J.A.D., of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. As a law clerk, she worked with civil, criminal, chancery, and family matters on appeal. Chinsu received her law degree from Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey where she served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Rutgers Law Record
Within the community, Chinsu serves on the Board of Trustees for NonProfitConnect where she is the Governance Committee Chair and the Impact Awards Co-Chair. NonProfitConnect offers educational programs, courses, and resources for board members and Executive Directors to strengthen leadership skills, work together effectively, and enhance board governance to advance their programs and organizations. She is also a member of Stark & Stark’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and the Co-Chair of the Mentor Program and Associates Committee.
