Stark & Stark Shareholder John Sakson filed a lawsuit on behalf of a special needs student who was videotaped while being sexually assaulted on a bus. The incident reportedly occurred on a Delaware Valley Bus Line bus in May 2015, according to the lawsuit filed against the bus company, Trenton Public Schools, and the assailant.
“You put your kid on a bus in the morning and you think that he or she is safe,” Mr. Sakson told the Trentonian. “Come to find out that something like this happens it really shocks the people to the core, it challenges their trust.”
In the past two years, there have been six reported cases of physical and sexual abuse on the buses in Trenton. The school district has cut ties with Hamilton-based Delaware Valley Bus Line.
Mr. Sakson is also suing the district and Delaware Valley Bus Line in a case involving a 4-year-old Trenton child who was stranded on a bus for an entire day. According to that lawsuit, the child was left “alone in the parked, unventilated, locked bus” for hours.
