Stark & Stark Shareholders, Bruce H. Stern and Carin A. O’Donnell, presented at New Jersey Association for Justice Construction Accident Seminar in Edison, New Jersey. Mr. Stern, who also co-chaired the program, reviewed the necessary case law that a pro-attorney would need in handling or defending a negligence claim against the general contractor and/or a subcontractor.
Following Mr. Stern, Carin A. O’ Donnell, spoke on using OSHA regulations to win a construction incident case. Ms. O’Donnell who handles construction accidents in Pennsylvania reviewed how OSHA regulations can be used to find prior violations of a general contractor to show repeat conduct in an effort to obtain punitive damages.
